摘要

Abstract

[Objective]Aux/IAA is an important transcription factor protein.It is widely involved in plant auxin-mediated response, plant stress and defense response.The relationship between drought resistance and Aux/IAA family members was studied by analyzing the expression of Aux/IAA family members under drought stress in foxtail millet.[Methods]The bioinformatics analysis was carried out on the physicochemical properties, protein hydrophobicity and cis-acting elements of the Aux/IAA family members in foxtail millet.Then we analyzed the expression of Aux/IAA family members under drought stress.[Results]The result showed that there were a number of stress-related functional elements in the Aux/IAA family members in foxtail millet, and the proteins they code were all hydrophilic.The expression levels of genes were significantly different between drought-tolerant and drought-sensitive varieties under drought stress.The expression levels of Seita1.5G126200,Seita.1G028400 and Seita.3G109400 were down-regulated, whereas the expression level of Seita.1G356800 gene was significantly up-regulated.[Conclusion]The Aux/IAA family members in foxtail millet are involved in the regulation of millet drought stress, and the process of regulation is a complex process.Some of them could also be used as candidate genes for drought tolerance in foxtail millet.Theseresult provide a theoretical basis for further study of the mechanism of the relationship between the Aux/IAA and drought tolerance in foxtail millet.
