Interpretation of recommendations for evaluation of CPX data in a specific patients

Abstract
In the past several decades,the exponentially growing volume of evidence about Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test (CPX) has led to numerous scientific statements by societies and associations.In 2012,the European Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (EACPR) and the American Heart Association (AHA) developed a joint document with the intent of redefining CPX analysis flowchart and reporting format,aiming to increase clinical application.Later in 2016,EACPR/AHA released the focused update,which proposed revisions to algorithms included in the initial scientific statement,clarified the application of oxygen consumption at ventilatory threshold,described CPX variables with an emerging scientific evidence,discussed personnel considerations for CPX laboratories,as well as provided recommendations for future CPX research.This article will interpret the update in detail in the hope of deepening understanding and expanding clinical application of CPX.关键词
