Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To investigate in off-label drug use for outpatients in People`s Hospital of Qiannan (hereinafter referred to as "our hospital"), so as to provide references for formulating administrative regulations of off-label drug use, and promote clinical rational and legal drug application. METHODS:4 days of prescriptions of outpatient (included emergency department) in our hospital were extracted each month in 2016, a total of 41 472 prescriptions were analyzed strictly according to dispensatories in terms of drug use indications, dosage, administration methods or routes, commended users, etc. RESULTS:Of 41 472 prescriptions, there were 731 off-label drug use prescriptions (accounted for 1.76%), mainly included over-indications, over-dosage, off-routes or off-methods, off-commended users; a total of 29 drugs were involved, the top 3 were respectively gentamicin sulfate injection,chymotrypsin for Injection,dexamethasone injection. CONCLUSIONS:Relevant administrative regulations of off-label drug use should be further improved, diagnosis and treatment of clinicians should be specified and prescription examining and verifying should be reinforced, so as to reduce irrational off-label drug use.关键词
