Effect of Silicon Content on Microstructure and Performance of Mg-Al-Si Alloy by Equal Channel Angular Extrusion

摘要

Abstract

Taking Mg-Al-Si alloy with different Si content as raw materials,the multi-pass ECAP extrusion experiments were conducted through Bc path in 120° comer mold to investigate the effect of Si content on mechanical properties and microstructure of magnesium alloy.The microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloy with different Si content after extrusion was observed and measured by optical microscope and hardness testing meter.The results show that the tensile strength of the alloy with different Si content is improved after extrusion.The hardness of the alloy with 1.0%Si has largest increase in tensile strength after ECAP extrusion.
