摘要

Abstract

High-intensity mining would cause worse strata and ground movement and deformation and environment effects than general geological and mining conditions due to its large panel sizes and min-ing thickness, fast working face advance, and shallow seam depth. However, the present definition of high-intensity mining only focuses on such mining technical indexes as panel size, working face ad-vance, mining thickness, annual output and productivity, etc., without the consideration of such negative externalities as the overburden strata and surface damages. The scientific definition of high-intensity mining was put forward based on the green coal mining theory and its study situation at home and abroad. The definition consists of two parts: mining technical indexes and negative externalities. The definition and evaluation index system comprehensively and accurately describe the scientific connota-tion, mining technical indexes and negative externalities of high-intensity mining, provide scientific ba-sis for evaluating high-intensity mining.
