Abstract

High-pressure rotating hydraulic punching physical simulation test device was developed to study the characteristics of pressure release and transparency of hydraulic punching in soft coal seam. Its main structures are the nozzle, hydraulic punching drill pipe, hydraulic punching rotating system, hydraulic punching propulsion system, the base, and securing system, etc. Based on the self-developed physical simulation experiment system for coupling coal seam gas extraction, the device can be used in hydraulic punching physical simulation experiments under different in-situ stress state and different hy-draulic punching sizes. A hydraulic punching simulation test was carried out with this system and it was found that during the process of punching due to hydraulic punching pressure relief, the coal in the im-pact area scope compressed. At the same time, the borehole imaging results clearly reflect the hydraulic punching hole and the position and shape of the fracture, which can provide support for hydraulic hole pressure relieving mechanism and methane moving mechanism in later analysis.
