Analysis of Transient Stability of Power Electronics Dominated Power System: An Overview

Abstract
Compared with the traditional AC power system,there are some particularities in power electronic dominated power system.The topology of system changes with the action of power electronic switch.Multiple time-scale controls can produce interactions.The system has more complex structure and nonlinear phenomena.The state variables have higher order.These characteristics have brought new challenges to the power electronic power system transient stability analysis.Based on the analysis of the structure of the power electronic power system,the transient stability analysis of the power electronic power system was divided into three levels.Through studying the differences of transient stability analysis between the power electronic dominated power systems and the traditional AC power systems,combining with the theory of nonlinear systems,the essence of the system transient stability has been analyzed.This paper summed up the problems of applying the transient stability analysis methods of the traditional AC power system to power electronic dominated power system need to be solved.The direct method is decomposed into four steps:modeling,simplifying model,generating the Lyapunov function and estimating the attracting domain.The purpose of this paper is to discuss the transient stability analysis method,to explore the basic idea of transient stability analysis of power electronic dominated power system,and to establish the foundation for the next research work.关键词
