Abstract
Objective To study the effect of complete mesorectal excision(CME) on lymph node dissection and quality of pathological specimens of colon cancer. Methods A total of 76 patients with colon cancer in our hospital were included in the study and were randomly assigned to the treatment group and the control group, with 38 patients in each group. The treatment group received CME,and the control group routine radical operation. We compared the relative indices of perioperative period. The number of lymph node dissected and the quality of resected specimens were recorded in two groups at different stages after operation. Results There was no significant difference in operation time, the amount of surgical bleeding, exhaust time, defecation time and length of stay between the two groups (P > 0.05).There was no significant difference in the number of lymph node dissected between the two groups in stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ (P > 0.05).The number of total lymph node dissected for stage Ⅲ in the treatment group and was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05).The positive rate of circumferential incisal margin in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05).In the treatment group, the length of resected mucosa, the length of intestinal canal, the distance of ligation, the distance of intestinal wall and tumor were significantly higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05).Conclusions CME treatment of colon cancer can be a comprehensive clean-up lymph nodes,of which patients with stage Ⅲ benefit most obvious, and the intraoperative pathological specimens are more complete, and can provide good conditions for postoperative pathological observation.关键词
