Abstract
Based on the current characteristics of four-quadrant converter for AC electric locomotive on no-load condition,the mechanism of short pulse operation for IGBT and freewheeling diode was introduced,and the peak voltage that generated during the reverse recovery process of the diode was analyzed ,the formulas of the peak voltage that generated during the reverse recovery process of the diode was derived ,the peak voltage which may cause the failure of the power devices was pointed,and the analysis was validated by the experimental result and simulation result. Three solutions to reduce no-load condition of AC electric locomotive were presented at last.关键词
