摘要

Abstract

The electric system on high voltage condition requires fast switches as circuit breakers to cut off the power supply as soon as possible when failure occurs. Series connected IGBTs is an idea choice in this case. The main issue of series connected IGBTs is the voltage balance. An active gate trigger time compensation method was presented. The test was worked on a set of 3 series connected IGBTs where the environment was 1500 V/10 A. The test result proves that the method can improve the voltage balance of IGBTs.
