PMU Optimal Configuration for Forced Oscillation Monitoring at Load Side

Abstract
In allusion to the problem of forced oscillation caused by periodic load disturbance of the power system, this paper presents a kind of optimal configuration method based on phasor measurement unit (PMU) for forced oscillation monitoring at load side.By analyzing typical feature of impact load, it obtains PMU monitoring strategy to reduce the monitoring range so as to ensure economy of PMU configuration.By building dichotomous logic tree, it performs analysis on PMU optimal configuration, and on the basis of network connectivity algorithm and network topology identification, it acquires digital information including substation numbers in the network required for PMU optimal configuration, state of PMU configuration, connectivity of each node in the network, and so on.This method can ensure economy of PMU configuration and forced oscillation monitoring at load side, which has been proved and verified by actual cases.关键词
