Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of negative emotion on health-related quality of life in women patients with endometrial cancer during chemotherapy.Methods Sixty-two patients with endometrial cancer receiving postoperative chemotherapy from December 26, 2015 to October 7, 2016 in oncology department of Beijing Maternity Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University were enrolled in study.Patients were assessed with Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA), Hamilton depression scale (HADA) and quality of life questionnaire-core 30 (QLQ-C30).Results Among 62 endometrial carcinoma cases treated with chemotherapy, 38 cases had anxiety symptom (61.29%), including 18 cases suspected with anxiety (29.03%), 14 cases showing definite anxiety symptom (22.58%), 6 cases indicating obvious anxiety (9.68%).Among 62 cases, 35 cases had depression symptom (56.45%), including 21 cases of mild depression (33.87%), 11 cases of moderate depression (17.74%), and 3 cases of severe depression (4.84%).Thirty patients had both anxiety and depression, accounting for 48.39%.Role function, social function, physical function, cognitive function and emotional function scores of patients with anxiety and depression were significantly lower than those of patients without anxiety and depression (t value was 3.407, 3.070, 2.354, 2.234 and 3.599, respectively, all P<0.05), but fatigue, pain, nausea and vomit scores were significantly higher than those of patients without anxiety and depression (t value was 2.310, 2.420 and 2.527, respectively, all P<0.05).Conclusion Women with endometrial cancer receiving chemotherapy are prone to negative emotions that affects their quality of life.关键词
