Epidemiology and the traditional risk factors of cardiovascular disease in Yao'an county in Yunnan

Abstract
Objective:To explore the epidemiology of cardiovascular disease and related risk factors in Yao'an county in Yunnan,and to provide scientific basis for comprehensive prevention and treatment.Methods:Using multistage sampling method,extraction o f jurisdiction 4 towns,8 village committees and 4 community health service centers,permanent residents 1 450 people with aged over 18 years,conducted a random sampling survey of risk factors of cardiovascular disease.Results:The smoking rate was 26.3％,the smoking rate of male residents was 52.2％;overweight accounted for 9.1％;impaired fasting glucose accounted for 8.7％,diabetes prevalence rate of 16.9％ people;hypertension prevalence rate was 44.5％,the awareness rate of hypertension was 43.0％.Conclusion:The level of hypertension and traditional risk factors in Yao'an county is very prominent.It is urgent to take comprehensive prevention and control measures.关键词
