Optimal Selection of Sampling Interval on Multibeam Bathymetry

Abstract
To solve the optimal selection problem of sampling interval on multibeam bathymetry,firstly the fundamental and implementation model of constant sound laying speed ray tracing and constant gradient laying ray tracing are introduced.Secondly,the influence rules of sampling interval effect on multibeam bathymetry based on the two ray tracing methods are analyzed,and in order to get the different sampling interval of sound speed profile data,the sound speed profile is lay-divided by the cubic spline.Finally,the sampling interval is optimal selected combined the limit value.The results show that the method of constant sound laying speed ray tracing is more sensitive to sampling interval than the method of constant gradient laying ray tracing.The optimal selection of sampling interval at a given limit range can guarantee the measurement accuracy and improve the operational efficiency of arithmetic.The analysis results have some guiding effect on the real time monitoring the quality of multibeam bathymetry data collection and the real time ray tracing.关键词
