Abstract
Objective:To study the relationship between middle school students'mental health,self- acceptance and self-discrepancy.Methods:A total of 208 middle school students were investigated by Mental Health Inventory of Middle-school Students(MMHI-60),Adolescent's Actual Self and Ideal Self Questionnaire and Self-accept-ance Questionnaire(SAQ).Results:①Self-discrepancy wasn't significantly positively related to mental health,but to factors below as obsession(r =0.139,P <0.05),interpersonal tension(r =0.141,P <0.05)and anxiety(r =0.138, P <0.05).②Self-acceptance was significantly negatively related to mental health(r =-0.436,P <0.01).③Self-dis-crepancy was significantly negatively related to self-acceptance(r =-0.288,P <0.01).④ Self-acceptance played a completely mediating role in the relation between self-discrepancy and obsession,interpersonal tension and anxiety. Conclusion:To understand and accept themselves well is good to middle school students'mental health.关键词
