摘要

Abstract

Aiming at the shortcomings of high image distortion rate of existing frame memory compression algorithms for high resolution flat panel display,a frame memory compression algorithm based on image annular texture and bit reservoir technology is proposed.The intra-frame prediction mode based on the annular texture can better adapt to the large number of point-like structures in the image,so as to better remove the spatial correlation between the annular texture pixels.On the premise that the compression ratio of the image and frame memory capacity is limited,the bit reservoir technology dynamically allocates the bit space needed by the bit stream of each compressed image block,thus greatly improving the utilization rate of the frame memory storage space.Test results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly improve the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio(PSNR)of the compressed image and reduce the image distortion.
