Optimization Analysis on Steel Frame with Short-Limb Steel Plate Composite Shear Wall

Abstract
A structural system of steel frame with short-limb steel plate composite shear walls with better seismic behavior is introduced in this paper which is commonly used in medium high-rise buildings.The further studies are conducted for proper structural design that includes width-thickness ratio of steel plate and boundary constraints.Numerical models for dynamic response analysis considering the effect of width thickness ratio of steel plate,boundary constraint and out-of-plane constraint ratio are established.Reasonable lateral stiffness ratio of shear wall over frame and width-thickness ratio of steel plate are suggested by using finite element analysis.Under cyclic test,the optimized designed specimen exhibits a better seismic behavior.When the lateral stiffness ratio is 0.42~0.45,the strength and ductility of steel plate composite shear walls can provide a significant performance for the moment-resisting frame.Also,optimization suggestions for moment-resisting frame design with steel plate composite shear wall system are presented.关键词
