Clinical Study of Large Keratocystic Odontogenic Tumor of Jaws Treated by Decompression
摘要
Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical values of decompression for large keratocystic odontogenic tumor of jaws. Methods: 22 cases were treated with decompression, observed periodically. Subsequent curettage was given when the re-maining tumors were less than 1~2cm in diameter or observed to be keeping no changes in 3 months. Results: The de-pression period lasted from 3 to 24 months, bone regeneration and reconstruction were noticed on radiographs. All patients were followed up for 6~48 months after secondary curettage, no recurrence was observed. Conclusion:Depression is a safe and effective minimally invasive treatment for large keratocystic odontogenic tumor of jaws.关键词
