Vehicle license plate automatic recognition model based on differential evolution algorithm and neural network

Abstract
Since the traditional edge contour detection method has poor recognition performance while the vehicles are shielded due to their close distance and overload traffic,a vehicle license plate automatic recognition method based on differen-tial evolution algorithm and neural network is proposed to improve the vehicle automatic recognition and detection abilities. The extracted vehicle video monitoring image is performed with external contour rectangular grid division. The differential evolution algorithm is used to traverse the sub-block of the license plate test sample image continuously to segment the license plate image feature and strengthen the information point. The neural network algorithm is adopted to classify the information of the license plate feature,and recognize the license plate. The test results show that the method has high recognition accuracy of license plate,and high reliability of model recognition.关键词
