Abstract
Hepatitis E is an infectious disease caused by hepatitis E virus (HEV).Hepatitis E is mainly viral hepatitis caused by fecal oral transmission of HEV.However, some cases of transfusion transmitted have been reported in recent years.Serological prevalence of HEV among populations and donors in European countries suggests that we underestimated the risk of HEV transfusion transmission.In this article, we discuss the discovery of HEV, genotype and its distribution, the prevalence of HEV infection in blood donors, the blood borne transmission of HEV, the effects of HEV on the organism and the prevention of HEV infection.关键词
