Abstract
Temperature is a significant external influence of dielectric response.The temperature normalization method consists in shifting the dielectric response measured at different temperature into coincidence,by which the ‘master curve'is determined.In order to obtain the correct master curve,the temperature normalization method should be carried out in log-log plot by shifting the real and imaginary components of susceptibility simultaneously.The locus of the reference point in the translation process should also be recorded in detail.The master curve can expand the frequency range and increase the data density of the measured data,which has the effect of eliminating measurement errors and increasing the veracity.The master curve can be used to determine the dielectric response whether it consisting of a single relaxation process or not,to determine the micro-structure of dielectric changing with temperature or not,and to determine the temperature dependence of dielectric response.It is worth to point out that to obtain a single master curve is not an inevitable result:in the condition of the dielectric response consisting of multi relaxation processes with different temperature dependence and in the temperature range where the structure of dielectric changes,a single master curve cannot be obtained.The master curve of dielectric response of HTV silicone rubber was constructed to explain and demonstrate the relevant issues in the application of the temperature normalization method.关键词
