Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical manifestation, diagnosis and treatment of multicentric Castleman's disease. Methods The diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of 16 patients with multicentric Castleman's disease diagnosed by pathology in Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University from August 2008 to October 2016 were analyzed retrospectivley. Results The 16 patients included hyaline vascular type (HV,50%), plasma cell type (PC, 37%), mixed variant type (Mix,13%). Among the 9 cases of follow-up data available, 7 cases achieved complete remission ( HV 5,PC 2), 2 lived with disease (HV) , and no patients died. The follow-up rate was 56%, while the median follow-up time was 22 months. Conclusion Multicentric Castleman's disease involves multiple systems and organs, and clinical performance, physical and chemical inspection guidance are not obvious, which lead to missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis easily. Accurate diagnosis and intervention of multicentric Castleman's disease with varied performance is crucial and a histopathological evaluation of an excised specimen is recommended, especially the lymph nodes biopsy. The multicentric type is treated mainly by surgery, assisted by chemotherapy and other ways, which all above leads to a systematic treatment.关键词
