Abstract
An analytical method is proposed to calculate the response of the coated circular plates subjected to underwater explosion. There are two effects of coating on the response of the coated circular plate. One is the effect on the impact load, and the other is the effect on the response under the impact load. The analytical method employs the method of wave propagating through multilayer mediums to calculate the pressure on the wetted surface and integrate the pressure to obtain the impulse. Then, the equivalent parameters of the system of the coating and the steel plate are obtained by the homogenization process. The dynamic equations of the circular plate are established in the vacuum condition. The frequency of the circular plate is corrected by considering the additive mass of water. Finally, the response of the system is obtained according to the initial conditions. Comparison between the results obtained by the analytical method and the finite element method indicates that the analytical method can provide a good approximation of the displacement response for the circular plate.关键词
