Abstract

In order to study the influence of excitation equipment on the vehicle comfort index and equipment vibration severity, a 15-DOF rigid-flexible coupling system model for the vehicle and the excitation equipment is established. Expressions of the frequency response functions at some reference points are derived. Based on the new trial-and-error integration method, the vehicle-equipment coupled system is solved numerically. And the vehicle's ride comfort index and equipment severity are obtained by frequency domain calculation. The influence of the multi-equipment on the vehicle's vibration is studied. The result shows that compared to the self-excitation of the equipment, the wheel-rail excitation is the main factor which induce the variation of the ride comfort index and equipment severity. The vehicle's speed has a significant influence on the ride comfort index. The ride comfort index and the equipment vibration severity increase with the speed increasing. The influence of equipment suspension frequency change on the ride comfort at the middle of the vehicle is more obvious than that at the ends. Increase of the suspension frequencies of the cooling fan and the transmitter will leads to at most 0.3 and 0.5 increasing of the ride comfort index respectively in the middle of the vehicle. Increase of the equipment suspension frequencies will reduce the vibration severity for itself only. The result can be used as a reference to equipment suspension parameters design for vehicle vibration control.
