摘要

Abstract

Objective:To explore osteoblast compatibility of polyetheretherketone/carbon nanotubes/bioactive glasses (PEEK/CNTs/BGs) composite in vitro.Methods:PEEK/CNTs/BGs composite was co-cultured with osteoblast MC3T3-E1 in vitro to evaluate the effects of the composite on osteoblast proliferation by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltet razolium bromide (MTT) and acridine orange fluorescent staining method.Meanwhile,the adhesion and growth of MC3T3-E1 cells on PEEK/CNTs/BGs composite surface were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).Results:It was found that MC3T3-E1 cells on PEEK/CNTs/BGs composite surface had better proliferation activity than that on PEEK and polyetheretherketone/carbon nanotubes (PEEK/CNTs) composite surfaces.SEM results showed that PEEK/CNTs/BGs composite surface was conductive to MC3T3-E1 cells adhesion,spreading and growth.Conclusion:PEEK/CNTs/BGs composite has excellent osteoblast compatibility in vitro and might be used as a novel orthopedic material.
