摘要

Abstract

The yeast Candida utilis is a Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) microorganism,which is important in industry.With the developments of molecular biology techniques over the past 20 years,remarkable progresses were made in the expression system and production application of Candida utilis.Based on genetic engineering,the Candida utilis could be developed and used in production of a number of biologically useful materials.In this paper,the research advances of Candida utilis in biological characteristics,expression system of exogenous gene,gene disruption system,transformation method,production application were summarized.
