Abstract

Based on the principle of virtual instruments and the software platform of LabVIEW 2011 Chinese version, this paper presents a wireless telemonitoring system for barley growth. The system carries out the ARM remote monitoring and control the CMOS sensor through the TCP/IP protocol with the LabVIEW network communication, and realizes the functions of image acquisition and remote transmission, data and video images, displaying and saving. Experimental results show that this system can realize the remote video and image monitoring of barley growth. After testing, the system trans-mission video packet error rate and packet loss rate are small, and the system can achive 16 f/s@320×240 image quality, the video is delivered clear and stable. This kind of trial development provides a new type of integrated technology for monitoring the production process of field crops. It has an important significance for crop pest control and the improvement of economic benefits.
