Abstract
Objective To summarize the clinical efficacy and experience of supraglottic horizontal partial larynxgectomy.Methods The clinical data of ninety-nine patients treated surgically with supraglottic horizontal partial larynxgectomy were collected from 2002 to 2009.Choose of appropriate lymph node dissection was based on UICC2002 standard staging.The five-year survival rates,postoperative complications and laryngeal function evaluation were evaluated.Results Ninety-four patients completed the 5-year follow-up,31 of which were dead.Overall survival rate was 68.7%.Survival rate of no cervical lymph node metastasis by clinical examination was 76.2% vs metastasis 48.4%.The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Extubation rate was 88.9%.Swallowing and pronunciation function were restored well.The main complication was postoperative infection,with a rate of 10.1%.Cervical lymph node metastasis was the important reason of death,accounting for 45.2%.Conclusion Supraglottic horizontal partial larynxgectomy was effetive in the upper part of the supraglottic larynx and in preserving laryngeal function,but a better selection criteria was required for lateral neck dissection.关键词
