Effects of Compound Chinese Herbal on Muscle Growth of AA Broilers
摘要
Abstract
In order to study the effect of compound Chinese herbal medicine additive on muscle growth and development of broilers.A total of 400 healthy Arbor Acres broilers were randomly divided into 4 groups, with 5 repeat each repeat 20 birds,The control group was fed corn-soybean meal base diet, and the trial group Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ were fed with 0.5%,1.0% and 1.5% compound Chinese herbal medicine additive in the basic diet for 42 days. The broilers were weighed and killed at 21 and 42 days of age,and the chest and leg muscles were weighed and the breast muscle rate and leg muscle rate were calculated. Then we measured muscle fiber diameter and made tissue sections. The results showed that the average body weight, average daily gain, muscle weight and muscle rate did not change significantly (P> 0.05),The diameter of the muscle fibers of 1.0% group was significantly lower than that of the control group at the age of 21 days (P <0.05),the average daily feed intake and feed meat ratio decreased in 1.0% group. At 42 days of age,the average body weight and average daily gain of 0.5% group increased significantly (P> 0.05),the average daily feed intake and the ratio of meat to meat were lower, the muscle development was the best, the muscle rate of the pectoral muscle was significantly increased (P <0.05).The results show that the addition of 0.5% and 1.0% compound Chinese herbal medicine additives can promote muscle development, improve muscle rate, reduce muscle fiber diameter, and improve its tissue structure.关键词
