Abstract
The hydrosoluble active constituent of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge has a wide range of physiological activities and pharmacological effects.Endothelial progenitor cells(EPCs) comprise a cell population that has the capacity to circulate, proliferate and differentiate into mature endothelial cells but that has not yet acquired characteristic mature endothelial markers nor formed precursor cells of blood vessels.It was found that the hydrosoluble active constituent of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge could protect endothelial functions through modulation of EPCs functions, thus exerting therapeutic effects in endothelium injured related diseases.This paper reviewed the effects of the hydrosoluble active constituent of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge on EPCs functions.We hope that the paper could provide a reference for further utilization of hydrosoluble active constituent of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.关键词
