摘要

Abstract

Based on the orthogonal experiment, an environment friendly cutting lead-free Si brass was achieved by casting. The microstructure and properties of the Si brass was studied by OM, SEM, XRD and horizontal lathe. The results show that appropriate amount of Si, Mg, Al and P were added to replace Pb, and intermetallics that were brittle but not hard formed and dispersedly distributed in the grain and on the grain boundary. The machinability of the alloy was much closer to the lead brass.
