Research of Preparation, Anti-icing and Anti-pollution of Super Hydrophobic Insulation Coatings

Abstract
Icing disaster is one of the most serious threats to the security and stability of power system. With many excellent properties such as low wettability and low surface energy, super hydrophobic insulation coatings can improve the anti-icing and anti-pollution performance of transmission lines effectively. In this paper, the current research of super hydrophobic coatings in power system including preparation and application is summarized. The basic properties of super hydrophobic insulating coatings are introduced, such as electrical insulation, chemical stability and mechanical property. Compared with other common coatings, the mechanism of super hydrophobic coatings in delaying the icing of insulators is expounded, indicating that the hydrophobic coating has good anti-icing and anti-pollution performance. In addition, the application of super hydrophobic coatings in the field of corrosion protection is also introduced. Finally, the issues about future research on super hydrophobic coatings are raised. In order to improve comprehensive performance of the coating, it is important to focus on the economy of the preparation method, the long-term performance of the surface and the mechanism of anti-pollution flashover.关键词
