Abstract

The aim is to evaluate the safety of electromagnetic environment in the carriage of high-speed railway exposed to 25 kV contact line.Based on the CRH5 EMU,the electromagnetic model of the real carriage,the contact line of the catenary and the variety of postures passengers were set up by using COMSOL Multiphysics software.The electromagnetic radiation caused by contact line to the passengers was investigated in the carriage,and compared with the case that passengers were directly exposed under the contact line.The simulation research results show that when the shielding protection is provided by the aluminum alloy train body,the magnetic induction strength is much less that in the absence of shielding protection.It is proved that the aluminum alloy train body can effectively shield the power frequency magnetic field.Meanwhile,the simulation results show that the maximum value of magnetic induction strength and induction electric field strength of the passenger's head at the window position are larger than those of the passenger's head in the middle of the carriage.The maximum value of the magnetic induction strength and induction electric field strength in the head of two passengers in the carriage are all far below the recommended values of public electromagnetic exposure by the International Commission on Non-ionizing Radiation Protection(ICNIRP).The simulation research shows that the electromagnetic exposure of the contact line of contact line at 25 kV voltage level does not affect the health of passengers.
