Chaotic Recurrence Analysis of Gas-Solid Two-Phase Flow in a Fluidized Bed Riser Affected by Particle Agglomerates

Abstract
Quartz sand with different agglomeration was used and artificial aggregation was created in a fluidized bed riser and spatially studied. Chaotic characteristics of two-phase flow systems in slugging and turbulent beds were analyzed by recurrence analysis of pressure fluctuation signals. The result shows that diagonal development trends are significant in the slugging bed, and the system has strong periodicity which is hardly affected by agglomeration. Moreover, for original quartz sand and micro agglomerates in turbulent bed, the increase of particle circulation flow can enhance diagonal trends. The determinacy is improved and the bifurcation is reduced, which indicates decrease of system chaotic characteristics. However, the structure and parameters of recurrence plots are hardly changed for nucleation agglomerates, which shows the chaotic characteristics of the system is hardly affected by particle circulation flow and agglomeration. For cementation and paste agglomerates, the isolated points in the recurrence plot are increased, and the determinacy is decreased but the bifurcation is enhanced, which reflects that chaotic characteristics of the system become stronger.关键词
