Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the immediate analgesic effect of warming needle moxibustion for primary dysmenorrhea with Cold Blood Stasis Syndrome.Methods:44 patients with primary dysmenorrheal of Cold Blood Stasis Syndrome were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with 22 cases in each group.From the first day of the menstrual cycle,the treatment group was treated with acupuncture Qihai,Guanyuan and Sanyinjiao acupoints and then the needles were retained warmly,the control group was treated with one Ibuprofen sustained releasecapsule per day.The treatment lasted for three menstrual cycles.The visual analogue scale (VAS) was used to observe patient's pain intensity in each time before and after treatment.After continuous treatment of three menstrual cycles the curative effect was observed.Results:Warm needle acupuncture in the treatment group worked at the 15th minute and the most obvious analgesic effect took place at the 30th minute,while that of the control at the 30th minute and the most obvious analgesic effect took place at the 60th minute.There were no statistical difference between the warm acupuncture group and the Ibuprofen group at 60 min,90 min,120 min,150 min,and 180 min after treatment (P ＞ 0.05);After three menstrual cycles of treatment,the analgesic effect of the acupuncture group was significantly better than that of the control group (P ＜0.05).The total effective rate (86.36％) of the treatment group was significantly better than that (9.09％) of the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion:Warming needle acupuncture treatment for primary dysmenorrhea with cold Blood Stasis Syndrome can function quickly and the long-term curative effect is significantly better than that of the oral ibuprofen sustained release capsule group.Warming needle acupuncture treatment can take the place of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug treatment in patients with primary dysmenorrhea.关键词
