摘要

Abstract

Conjugate relations in geometrical optics do not exist between the input and output of fiber optics. When the input is converging light, the output light comprises three hollow frustums of cones, and the cross-section is three rings. The input-output phenomenon is called the three-ring effect. This paper introduces the formula for the three-ring effect and its contribution to the signal and stray lights. Based on the analysis of stray light, we present a new method for the elimination of stray light in the end output. Therefore, the transmittance of the fiber cladding at the end face is zero.
