Research on the Structural Modeling and Working Characteristics of Cam-Piston Engine

Abstract
The parameters of the cam-piston engine were firstly designed by MATLAB to establish the mathematical model and verify the feasibility of the structure;Then, the 3D solid model was constructed by SolidWorks, and imported into ADAMS to conduct dynamics and kinematics simulation;Thirdly, ty analyzing the simulation data of MATLAB, the kinematic parameters such as piston displacement, velocity, and acceleration were obtained, and the influence of the design parameters on the cam pressure angle were analyzed as well;Finally, by analyzing the simulation data of ADAMS, the force of roller contact surface was obtained.It shows that cam, as a power output mechanism, can meet the requirements of the engine working cycle, and its power density and operation stability has been improved significantly compared to that of the traditional engines.However, there is serious wear on the cam due to the large force between the roller and cam, which needs to be further improved.关键词
