Abstract
Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment based on different stages and western medicine in the treatment of adenoidal hypertrophy in children.Methods:From May 2014to November 2016,86children with adenoidal hypertrophy in our hospital were randomly divided into controlled group (n =43) and treatment group (n =43).The controlled group was treated with antibiotics combined with budesonide nasal spray,while the treatment group were treated with TCM decoction according to the TCM stages of children.With 2weeks as a course of treatment,both groups were treated for 3courses,and the therapeutic effect was compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of treatment in the treatment group was 90.70％ while in the controlled group was 72.09％ (P ＜ 0.05).After treatment,the scores of nasal obstruction,snoring and mouth breathing in the two groups and adenoid/nasopharynx (A/N) ratios in the two groups decreased significantly,and the decrease in the treatment group was greater than that in the controlled group (P ＜ 0.05).There were no obvious adverse reactions in the treatment group,while the incidence of adverse reactions in the controlled group was 9.30％ (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion:The effect of TCM treatment based on different stages is more significant than western medicine in the treatment of children with adenoidal hypertrophy.It can significandy relieve the symptoms and improve A/N ratio,with few adverse reactions.关键词
