Abstract
The copolymerization of maleic anhydride and activated olefins in mixed C4 hydrocarbons was carried out to separateα-olefins from the other carbon C4 hydrocarbons. The structures of the copolymers,the copolymerization reaction type and the effects of reaction conditions on the copolymerization were investigated by means of FTIR,13C NMR,1H NMR,1H-13C HSQC 2D NMR and SEM. The results showed that,the copolymerization belonged in alternating copolymerization, the suitable polymerization process was radical copolymerization,and the suitable reaction solvent was isoamyl acetate. It was indicated that,the process to form the final copolymer particles was accompanied by secondary nucleation,and the copolymer particles were rough but uniform with the particle size of around 1μm. The yield of the copolymer could reach more than 90% when the initiator was more than 1%(x) based on the amount of maleic anhydride. The particle morphology of the copolymer obtained with benzoyl peroxide as the initiator was more regular. n-Butene and isobutene in the mixed C4 hydrocarbons participated in the copolymerization and the reactivity ratio of isobutene was higher than that of n-butene.关键词
