Expression of leptin and leptin receptor in endometriosis
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of leptin and leptin receptor in endometriosis.Methods Thirty-two patients with endometriosis (EM group) and 32 women undergoing tubal ligation (control group) were enrolled in the study.The serum,peritoneal fluid (PF),peritoneal biopsy (PI) samples were collected in both groups,the endometriosis cyst (OE) and aspiration of endometriosis cysts (EF) taken duting endometriosis resection were collected in EM group.The expression levels of leptin and leptin receptor in PI and OE were measured by Western blot,the levels of leptin in serum,PF and EF were measured by human leptin ELISA kit.Results The levels of leptin and leptin receptor in PI were not statistically significant between two groups (all P ＞0.05).In EM group the expression of leptin and leptin receptor in OE were significantly higher than that in Pl(all P＜ 0.05).There were no significant difference in serum and PF leptin levels between the two groups(all P ＞0.05).But in EM group the levels of leptin in EF were significantly higher than those in serum and PF (all P＜0.01).In EM group there were positive correlations in expression levies of leptin and leptin receptor between OE and EF,PI and PF,OE and PF(all P＜0.05),there were positive correlations between leptin and leptin receptor in OE,between leptin in EF and leptin receptor in OE,between leptin and leptin receptor in PI,between leptin in PF and leptin receptor in Pl(all P＜0.05),while there was no correlation between leptin in PF and leptin receptor in OE (P ＞0.05).Conclusion The interaction of leptin and leptin receptor may play an important role in the pathogenesis of endometriosis.关键词
