Electric Field Simulation and Optimization Methods of Capacitor Core Foil Edge of Oil-Impregnated Paper Bushing

Abstract
Marginal effect of electric field exists throughout all condenser type bushings on any voltage levels.Electric field of foil edge may be distorted to form local strong electric field,causing discharges and threatening safe operation of bushing.Currently,radical and axial electric field is calculated with traditional method,ignoring maximum electric field at capacitor core foil edge (CCFE) of bushing,lacking control measures of its electric field.In this paper,electric distribution of oil-impregnated paper bushing is calculated with Infolytica FEM software,considering CCFE thickness and micro-shape in three cases:no special treatment,single edge fold and laying semiconducting paper.Result shows that maximum CCFE electric field without special treatment is far bigger than that in middle uniform field.CCFE electric field controlled with single edge folding and laying semiconducting paper decreases by 19% and 33% respectively.It is suggested that CCFE electric field is optimized with 10 mm~20 mm single edge folding or laying semiconducting paper based on uniform distribution of electric field without increasing core size to improve operational performance of condenser type bushings.关键词
