摘要

Abstract

Objective: To investigate the effects and mechanisms of berberine on hysteromyoma in rats. Methods:Hysteromyoma model was established in rats. Then the levels of IFN-α and TNF-α were analyzed by ELISA assay. Blood viscosity and hysteromyoma coefficient were examined. The morphological changes in uterus were observed using HE staining. The expressions of ER-α and Bcl-2 in uterine smooth muscle cells were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results: After Berberine administration, IFN-α levels significantly increased, while TNF-α levels decreased. Moreover, berberine treatment decreased whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity and erythrocyte aggregation index, while reduced hysteromyoma coefficient and inflammatory cells infiltration, and inhibited ER-α and Bcl-2 expressions in uterine smooth muscle cells. Conclusion: Berberine can improve hysteromyoma in rats, which may be likely through regulation of the levels of inflammatory factors and bcl-2.
