Design and Application of Clinical Reasoning Training Course Based on Dual-process Model for Nursing Postgraduates

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of clinical reasoning training course based on dual-process model for nursing postgraduates. Methods Dual-process model teaching group including 5 experienced teachers was established then 20 nursing postgraduates received clinical reasoning training including analytic systematic training, intuition system training, comprehensive scenario simulation and clinical practice. CTDI-CV and self-made teaching satisfaction scale were used to evaluate the training effects. Results After training,nursing postgraduates' total score of CTDI-CV and the score of its 6 dimensions were significantly improved and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);students' satisfaction rate of the training course ranged from 75% to 100%and most students were satisfied with the teaching. Conclusion Based on dual-process model, clinical reasoning course is beneficial to improving nursing postgraduates ' critical thinking ability and their satisfaction with the teaching.关键词
