Role of ICU Quality Control Index in Continuous Nursing Quality Improvement
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the role of nursing related indicators in medical quality control on continuous nursing quality improvement in critical care medicine. Methods Data from March to June 2016 when medical quality control index was not applied in Department of Critical Care Medicine were collected as baseline data and data from July to October in 2016 were collected as index data. Nursing quality assessment was conducted based on the index data using nursing related indicators in medical quality control then continuous nursing quality improvement was promoted based on the assessment data. The difference of nursing quality before and after the application of medical quality control index was compared. Results Prevention rate of deep venous thrombosis was significantly increased (P<0.05) but the rate of unplanned extubation and the incidence of ventilator-associated pneumonia, intravascular catheter-related bloodstream infections and urinary catheter related urinary tract infection were lower ( P<0.05). Conclusion Continuous nursing quality improvement based on nursing related indicators in medical quality control can effectively improve the quality of nursing.关键词
