Abstract
Objective To investigate the prevalence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in Qingdao,China and its association with vitamin D.Methods A total of 200 pregnant women with GDM (GDM group) and 200 normal pregnant women (normal control group) were enrolled.The serum level of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (25 (OH)Ds) was measured for all women,as well as lipid metabolic indices,fasting blood glucose (FBG),and fasting insulin (FINS),homeostasis model assessment-estimated insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) was calculated,and the correlation between 25-(OH)D3 and HOMA-IR was analyzed.Results Compared with the normal control group,the GDM group had a significantly lower level of 25-(OH)D3 (t=5.561,P＜0.01) and significantly higher FBG and FINS (t =4.077,18.358;P ＜0.01),and there were no significant differences in lipid metabolic indices between the two groups (P＞0.05).In the GDM group,HOMA-IR was negatively correlated with 25-(OH)D3(r=-0.767,P＜0.05),and the women with abnormal blood glucose at 2 hours after glucose intake in oral glucose tolerance test had a significantly lower serum level of 25-(OH)D3 than those with normal blood glucose (t =3.121,P＜0.05).Conclusion Vitamin D deficiency may be associated with GDM.关键词
