Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Xifeng Huatan prescription and acupuncture on treating nerve-root type cervical spondylosis. Methods:A total of 94 patients with nerve-root type cervical spondylosis were divided into the control group and the observation group by the random number table method,with 47 cases in each group. The control group was treated with diclofenac sodium sustained-release tablets and cervical traction. The observation group ,based on the treatment of the control group ,was treated with Xifeng Huatan prescription and acupuncture. One treatment course lasted for 2 weeks and both the two groups were treated for 4 courses. The changes of pain degree ,classification index and intensity of neck and shoulder,cervical dysfunction index and typical symptom relief time of the two groups were observed before and after treatment,and the curative efficacy was evaluated. Results:The clinical effective rate of the obser vation group was 91.5％ and the control group was 72.3％. The difference was statistically significant(P=0.030). The improvements of neck and shoulder pain degree ,classification index and intensity of the observation group were better than those of the control group,and the differences of VAS,PRI and PPI scores between the two groups were statistically significant ( P<0 . 05 ) . The typical symptom relief time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Af-ter treatment,the cervical dysfunction degree of the observation group was obviously reduced,but compared with that of the control group,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05). Conclusion:In treat-ment of nerve-root type cervical spondylosis,Xifeng Huatan prescription and acupuncture can effectively re-lease the pain of neck and shoulder,shorten the disease course and the efficacy is definite.关键词
