Launch Vehicle Structure Design Using Topology and Size Optimization
摘要
Abstract
Lightweight design of launch vehicles is important for improving the performance of weapon systems.Taking the minimum compliance as the objective,topology optimization is carried out for a new support structure of a launch vehicle,and an innovative geometric design is obtained.The sensitivities of structural stiffness and weight to plate thicknesses of the innovative support structure are analyzed.Size optimization is conducted for lightweight design with the design variables of the plate thicknesses.The robustness of the optimal solution to the initial values of the design variables is analyzed.The optimal results show that the weight and the maximal stress of the innovative support structure are respectively reduced by 51% and 49.6% using topology and size optimization,with the same structural stiffness compared with the original support structures.关键词
