Abstract
Objective To evaluate systematically the efficacy of risk-reducing salpingo oophorectomy (RRSO) on prevention of ovarian cancer in BRCA1 and BRCA2 (BRCA1/2) mutation carriers,and to provide reference for clinicians,genetic counselors and women who carry BRCA 1/2 mutations.Methods The domestic and foreign databases were searched from Mar.2017 to Apr.2017 to collect studies about prevention of ovarian cancer associated with RRSO in BRCA1/2 mutation carriers.Five studies including 9973 people (5227 people in the RRSO group and 4746 people in the control group) were selected.Meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan 5.3 software.Results RRSO was associated with a statistically significant reduction in risk of ovarian cancer in BRCA 1/2 mutation carriers (HR=0.19,95％ CI:0.14-0.26,P＜ 0.00001).Similar reductions were observed in all-causes mortality (HR=0.32,95％ CI:0.27-0.38,P ＜ 0.00001).Conclusion After childbearing,BRCA1/2 mutation carriers should consider RRSO based on genetic consulting results,personal willings and age,in order to reduce ovarian cancer risk and all-causes mortality.关键词
