Effect of Friction Stir Welding Process on Microstructure of In-situ Titanium Matrix Composites
摘要
Abstract
The macrostructure and microstructure of titanium matrix composite welding lines by friction stir welding were studied.The phase and macroscopic fracture of welding lines were identified by XRD,and the microstructures was examined by scanning electron micrescopy.The results show that the Ti can react with B4C,C,and LaB6 in the welding lines by friction heat,which can improve reinforcement generating.The distribution of the reinforcement is homogeneous.With the help of the reinforcement,the welding lines of titanium matrix composite have a high strength and low defect,such as porosity,slag inclusion,and cracks.关键词
