Abstract

To find the difference in the community structure of arthropods between the tea garden with yellow sticky traps and those using chemical pesticides for pest control,the structure characters of arthropod communities and the occurrence quantity of main arthropods in the tea garden were investigated.Yellow sticky traps were used to collect insect samples from June to November in 2015 in the tea gardens.As results,we found the occurrence quantity of Empoascavitis (gothe) and whitefly in the tea garden with yellow sticky traps was obviously lower than that with chemical pesticides;however,the occurrence quantities of neutral insect and aphid were significantly higher than those with chemical pesticides,and no significant differences were detected in the occurrence quantity of parasitic wasps.The diversity of arthropod communities in the tea garden with yellow sticky traps was significantly higher than that with chemical pesticides except in the period of the aphid's migration.The ratio of predator prey to arthropod communities in the two tea gardens both appeared the maximum peak in July,which was up to 2.095 ∶ 1 with yellow sticky trap and 1.809∶1 with chemical pesticides.Using the yellow sticky trap could control the occurrence quantity of common homopteran insects and protect the arthropod community diversity better.In the process of using the preventive measure,the special period of July and October should be considered.
